Oscar Allen has been growing bromeliads and other exotic plants since 1973. The Nursery has grown from a local service to several retail nurseries into its current form. And Oscar is an active, internationally accredited Bromeliad Judge.

The concentration of the Nursery is still on development of species parent stock plants. In addition, his hybridization program is well into its second and third generation hybrids.
