The "green form" is somewhat a misnomer as this clone has quite a bit of red suffused throughout the leaves. These mature seedlings are grown up "hair pups". Plants in the genus Alcamtarea produce these so called 'hair pups" in their youth and the production does not coincide with flowering. After these plants flower they frequently produce no offsets so it is important to save a few of the hair pups in order to continue the plant in your collection. The plant is growing in a 4-inch plastic pot and is shipped bare root. Photo shows blooming, mature plant.
