This species orchid is native to the Himalayas, Assam, and Yunnan. It is hardy down to the low 40 F and in fact needs a temprature drop into that range as well as a dry peroid starting in late October thru February in order for the pseudobulbs to set flower buds. Flowers from the 2 year old pseudobulbs.
