In the genus Zygopetalum this is the best known species. The plant consists of medium sized light green pseudobulbs topped by tall, pleated green 18-24 inches leaves. The flower spikes arise with the new growths. The flowers are 2-3 inches wide with green sepals and petals heavly bloched with brown. The lip is wide,white with heavy purple vaining. the flowers are very fragrant. Shipped as a 3 pseudobulb bare root division.
